- Slipping into the dress, ready to go
- A glance through the car window towards the church
- Flower girl proudly carrying the train
- Outside the church, deep breaths
- Groom waiting nervously at the front
- A hushed congregation and then the entrance
- Still, gentle moments at the altar
- Walking down the aisle together, spotting old friends in the pews
- Hugs and kisses
- Flitting from friend to friend at the reception with so much to say
- Nerves, laughter and tears during the speeches
- Dancing together lost in the moment
- Spinning to the music, everyone up on the dance floor…
…wonderful quiet moments between the bride and groom and great, great fun with family and very best friends.
It’s amazing really that the photography I do allows me to illustrate so many of the most important moments in life.
I do my absolute best to give you truly beautiful and meaningful pictures. In terms of my style, I won’t try to dominate your day. The photography is important but it’s only a part of the whole. It’s very much about going with what’s happening at the time, improvising and having fun.

Stefan Zabel was born in Canada, spent his early years in Brussels and grew up in the breathtaking Chilterns countryside of South East England. Now an award-winning wedding photographer, he has returned to his roots and lives in Henley-on-Thames, bordering the counties of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
He provides a relaxed, intelligent and friendly wedding service, be it at a charming country ceremony, a contemporary city hotel, an elegant military wedding or an afternoon reception on rolling lawns beside the River Thames. The images he takes are timeless and synonymous with style and quality.
Stefan has qualified as a member of the British Professional Photographers Associates and the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers, and works closely with many of the best wedding venues in the area.
